New Year's Topiary

A handmade topiary using cones and shiny tinsel will be an excellent gift for the New Year holidays.
This composition will require the use of the following materials:
• Pine cones - 5 pcs.,
• Thick wire - 5 pieces,
• Mouline thread of lilac color,
• Silver tinsel,
• Polyfoam, large beads,
• Glue gun, alabaster, small jar.
First you need to prepare all the constituent elements of the topiary. To do this, the cones are painted with acrylic paint in lilac or purple.
Tinsel is cut into 5 equal segments 8 cm long.
Such segments are folded into a ring, the ends are fixed with glue.
The thick wire is cut into 7 segments of different lengths, and at the ends of 5 of them a loop is made, to which rings from tinsel will be attached.
Each such wire is tightly wrapped with threads.
Finished stems are twisted together and placed in a jar with diluted alabaster.
After the composition has dried, you can begin to disguise the jars and create a snow cover around the stems.
To do this, the polystyrene crumbles into small pieces and sticks to dried alabaster, a jar, the base of the stems.
Beads are scattered randomly over the snow.
Before working with cones and tinsel, it is better to prepare the stems in advance - to give them beautiful curved lines in the form of curls and spirals. Bend the loops at the ends of the wire to a horizontal position, as all other beauty will be attached to them.
First, a ring of tinsel is glued to the loop, and a bump is placed from the top to the center.
Large mother-of-pearl beads are attached to the end of free stems.
To give greater fabulousness, the edges of the scales on the cones can be painted with white paint or nail polish. And the snow cover will sparkle when showered with sparkles.
