In this review, the author shows the process of making a homemade chopper for grass and tree branches. Such useful homemade work is useful in the country and in a private house.
Specifically, in this case, the author needs this unit for processing branches of fruit and fruit trees into wood chips, which can be used for a smokehouse.
First of all, it will be necessary to cut a workpiece 300 mm long from a piece of metal with a thickness of 4-5 mm.
In the center of the workpiece, the master makes a hole with a diameter of 56 mm. To do this, he first drills holes in a circle, then cuts with a jigsaw.
All irregularities inside the hole must be sanded with a grinding nozzle on an electric drill.
The main stages of work
In a metal plate, the author drills four holes with a diameter of 10 mm, after which he fastens it to the grinder with the help of studs and nuts.
To make the resulting design more reliable, the author welds additional fasteners from pieces of metal to the plate.
Next, you need a disc for the trimmer, from which the master with the help of a grinder cuts off excess parts. Then the blade blades will need to be sharpened.
In the metal plate we cut out the “window”. Then you can install and fix the disk.
Fixture assembly process
The next stage of work will require a steel cylinder - part of the body of the fire extinguisher. To it you need to weld the plate itself, to which the Bulgarian is attached.
After this, it remains only to weld two more plates to the base - their master cut out in advance. The protruding angle must be cut off with a grinder.
Cut off a piece of a round pipe with a diameter of 100 mm, which must be welded to the resulting square hole.
Then, three legs from a round pipe must be welded to the bottom of the fire extinguisher body. Now the homemade product is ready - you can paint it.
