Assembling the simplest bending machine for your home workshop and garage with your own hands is not so difficult as it might seem at first glance. Yes, and components for it can always be obtained.
For example, in this case, the author uses an old car jack, which he has not used for a long time, to make a bending machine.
The remaining parts, if you have the necessary tools, can be done independently without problems.
Necessary materials:
- long bolts with nuts with a diameter of 10 mm;
- pieces of steel bar with a diameter of 16 mm;
- metal sleeve with external thread;
- a piece of steel strip 4 mm wide;
- a piece of metal pipe with a diameter of 219 mm;
- building corner 75 * 75 mm.
It will also be necessary to make two homemade bushings from 3 pieces of steel pipe, which are inserted into each other and scalded.
The main stages of work
First of all, the author cuts four pieces of the corner 75 * 75 mm, and welds them together into a frame. The result is a base for the bending machine.
At the next stage, we cut off two pieces of the steel strip with a grinder and drill holes along the entire length in increments of about 5-7 cm.
We connect both strips with long bolts, between the strips the master installs homemade bushings.
After that, we weld to the strips (in the center) two more pieces of the steel strip, but already perpendicularly (at right angles). Pieces of square bars act as jibs and give more rigidity.
From a metal plate and a piece of the 219th pipe, it will be necessary to weld the matrix. Then you can already begin to assemble the entire structure.
