From an old hand drill (rotary ring), which are almost never used, you can make a holder with a reverse for taps. Using such a tool is very convenient, but simple to do.

The first step is to cut off the part of the rotation handle with the grinder along with the stop. To make the holder, you need a spindle with a chuck and a mount for it.

You can use the remaining parts from a hand drill for any other homemade products.

The main stages of work

In the mount for the rotor spindle, a hole must be drilled into which the handle for the tap holder will be inserted and welded. The second part of the handle is welded on the other side.

The pens themselves are made of two round bars. If the home workshop has a lathe, you can additionally make notches on the handles to make it comfortable to hold.

Please note that in this case a rotor is used, in which the cartridge has two clamping cams with grooves. It is in such a cartridge that it is most convenient to fix taps for threading.
