Often for open storage of angle grinders, drills, screwdrivers, jigsaws, milling cutters, as well as other hand tools in the home workshop or garage, open shelving or wall shelves are used.
This is all, of course, good, but, as practice and experience shows, it is much more convenient to store the power tool in a closed cabinet - at least some aesthetics, and there will be protection from dust.
You can make a simple cabinet with your own hands from OSB sheets. You can also use plywood with a thickness of 18-20 mm. After you have decided on the material, you can begin to work.
DIY cabinet manufacturing process
First of all, it is necessary to file workpieces of suitable sizes from the OSB sheet, and then proceed to the assembly of the main "box". The shape can be square or rectangular - it is at your discretion.
For ease of assembly, you can use angle clamps that can withstand an angle of 90 degrees, which is very convenient. However, it will still not hurt to check the corner joints with a square after assembly.
At the next stage of work, the master installs the back wall of the cabinet. You can cut the OSB sheet of the right size immediately or in place, after you screw it with screws.
The master fastens the furniture wheels to the bottom of the assembled “box” - thus, the cabinet will turn out not only compact, but also mobile. If necessary, it can be easily moved to another location. And this is another significant plus of this design.
Then it remains only to cut and fix the internal shelves, as well as hang the doors. If desired, the cabinet can be painted or varnished.
