When transporting glass jars (regardless of their volume and contents) there is always a risk of accidentally breaking them. To avoid this, you can make a protective plastic casing from PET bottles.

Although the idea is not new, few people use this method in practice. But a jar in a plastic casing is really convenient. And the point is not that it is becoming much stronger. Particularly "lucky" can break the jar, regardless of whether there is a protective "shell" or not.

But even if the jar breaks, then, firstly, the fragments will not fly apart. And, secondly, the contents will also remain inside, and will not spread, for example, on the trunk when transporting cans in a car.

How to put a plastic cover on a jar

The technology itself is quite simple. The first step is to pick up a bottle, depending on the volume of the can. If you want to “wrap” a 0.5 liter jar of plastic, then a two-liter PET bottle will do. And for a 3-liter can, you need a capacity of 5-6 liters.

A glass jar needs to be put inside a plastic bottle, but first you need to cut off the upper part with a neck.

Then, using a building hair dryer, you need to heat the plastic so that it eventually snugly tightens the glass jar. If you do not plan to transport the cans, then the bottom of the plastic bottle can be cut off.
