In the process of self-repair or maintenance of a car in a garage, you often have to crawl on your knees, which is not always convenient. The author proposes to solve this problem very simply - to make home-made kneecaps on wheels.
To make the knee pads, you will need a piece of steel pipe with a diameter of 120 mm and a length of 250 mm. It must be cut along the grinder into two identical halves.
After that, it will be necessary to cut two semicircles from the sheet of metal and weld them at the ends of the billets from the pipe. The result is knee rests.
The main stages of work
On the other side of each pipe, you need to weld two pieces of a square profile, cutting them from one edge at an angle. Then the master welds the furniture wheels to the profiles and the pipe itself (only three pieces for each kneecap).
At the next stage, it remains only to clean the welds and paint the finished kneecaps. A soft lining is glued inside the pipes.
